Started before sunrise. Fog held in the valley until almost nine. Good footing, dry most of the way.
River crossing notes
Water was low enough to cross at the usual ford. Bring poles if it rained the night before.

Swapped to lighter socks for the summer stretch. Old boots finally retired after this one.

Keeping a paper trail alongside the digital one helps. If you keep your own journal, the best habit is writing the entry the same evening — details fade fast otherwise.
